If you weren't able to make it to our Nina Simone themed Turntable Tea Party, you can create your own listening party at home by enjoying our special release tea while listening to one of the two featured Nina Simone albums: 

Nina Simone Sings the Blues or Pastel Blues

Although Nina lived most of her life in the north of the US and in France, her music (she considered herself a folk musician) is deeply rooted in the emotions and feeling of life in the south during the civil rights movement.

We created a hibiscus based iced tea, something we imagine drinking while sitting outside on a hot summer day, and added cinnamon and cayenne to represent her power and the way she spoke up and out for herself as a musician, as a woman, and as a Black person in America.

This tea is beautiful and strong with a bite that grabs your attention, and it's made with whole organic hibiscus flowers (Hibiscus sabdariffa), organic cinnamon bark (Cinnamomum burmannii), and organic cayenne pepper (Capsicum annuum). 

It's called "Nina".

You can buy a brand new sealed copy of Nina Simone Sings the Blues or Pastel Blues, and each album comes with a 1oz bag of our special release loose leaf Nina tea.

Each bag makes one batch of cold-brewed iced tea* (steep overnight in your fridge). Add the 64oz of cold water to a full bag and steep overnight to drink as a cold drink straight from the fridge. Add 32oz of cold water to a full bag ans steep overnight
