Turntable Tea Party is collab event between us and Reverberation Records Records (that's Mike!). Every First Friday we hold a listening party that features a specific record, and we share a special release tea that goes along with the album we feature. We hang out and listen to the album together, drink tea, and talk. Mike usually shares a bunch of interesting facts about whatever band we're listening to!
Join us in celebrating music, tea, and community. Come for the whole event or come whenever you can. Meet new friends or spend time with old ones!
Mike will be setting up a mini pop-up record shop with copies of the record we're playing each month, plus more by the same artist, and a curated collection of "you may also like" type albums for sale. It changes every month, so even if you can't stay for the whole album, come by and see what he picked for you this month.
Can't make it in person? Each month you'll find a listing here on our website for the record we played that month and a 1oz bag of special release tea to go along with it, so you can have your own personal listening party at home.
Friday June 7th is Nina Simone! It goes from around 6pm until around 8pm. This month we're featuring two albums by Nina Simone: Nina Simone Sings the Blues and Pastel Blues. Because we have two albums for this event, the first record will go on just after 6:00pm.
This month we'll be featuring an iced tea for the first time!
Reservations aren't required, and you can drop in anytime, but if you know for sure that you're coming, let us know so we can save you a seat.
