Last Minute Info Before (Re)Opening Day!

It's finally here (almost)!

It's currently Thursday night, after 9pm, and I'm sitting in the shop surrounded by complete chaos. It has the appearance of a shop that won't be open for a week. It seems like no matter how many hours I work to clean and set up, nothing changes. BUT IT WILL ALL COME TOGETHER.

It's definitely one of those things that will look like a tornado with pieces flying around everywhere until it suddenly doesn't anymore.

I can't wait to see you on Saturday! (09/10 at 11am)

Some news and updates (in no particular order):

I couldn't complete the kitchen before opening day. I started to feel bad about it, but then I remembered that this is just a tiny one-person operation, and one person can only do so much. Mike helps me a ton, but he has a full time job so there's only so much he can help with.

And also...

it's ok! It doesn't affect the big picture at all. Everything in the front of the shop is business as usual starting Saturday (09/10 @11am!).

I do expect to have the kitchen completed within the next two weeks.

I'm so excited to reopen and get back into it. It's tough to be closed for so long, especially since this is the second time in the less than three years I've been open (2020 lockdown was the first, and this has been even longer!)

Some of the things I planned to do right away will be postponed for a bit, but are still happening this fall and/or winter: getting our teas out to local cafes, restaurants, and other shops, giving the front of the shop a new look, hiring a staff, and holding classes.

Once we reopen, our hours for the fall will be Wednesday-Saturday 11am-6pm.

We're closed Saturday Sept. 17th! I know, so soon after reopening, but I made this plan back when I thought we'd be reopening in July.

Mike and I are still masking inside in public, so we'll be masking in the shop. I realize we're in a small minority at this point, and I'm not requesting anyone wear masks before coming in. Mask wearing is always welcomed, of course, but come in however you feel most comfortable. We'll also be running the air cleaners forever and opening windows when weather allows it.

I think I remembered everything! I can't wait to see you!

Xo,
Lisa
