Hemlock Park candle care kit is a must have for anyone who loves high quality handmade candles! The better you care for your candles, the longer they'll last and the better they'll smell. 

Did you know there are "best practice" rules to follow for candle burning? Keeping your wick trimmed prevents smoky flames, and burning your candle the first time long enough for a wax pool to form all the way to the edge of the vessel (3-4 hours on average, but it will differ for each candle) will prevent the dreaded "tunneling" where only just around the wick burns! And, always burn candles safely. 

This kit has everything you need to make sure you give the best care to your candles!

A wick trimmer to reach down into candles and make sure the wick is the correct length (1/8"-1/4" - the individual candle maker can tell you specifically)

A wick dipper to dip the wick into the melted wax to extinguish the flame. This can also be used to straighten the wick after the flame is out, and to remove debris from the wax pool or candle surface. 

A candle snuffer to extinguish the flame of tall candles, or short candles where the wick has grown a bit too long and using a dipper will cause the wick to break into the wax pool. 

The kit comes with a tray to keep the candle tools on, and comes in a nice box with gold embossed foil cover. It makes a great gift!
